I went to my buddy CG-GUY’s house today for a bit of houselopniking. The big job was to install a new screen door. Props to Larson door for including full color illustrated instructions. That was mighty helpful.

The door had a neat feature where when you lower the window, the screen rolls in right in place of it.

I also replaced the microwave/hood combo. This was made significantly easier because it was the same model as the old one, so all the old holes lined up, and it even used the same mounting bracket as the old one.

The weather was perfect, but my helper was a useless shite (he made me promise to say that about him). Many many screws were dropped, but only ONE was actually lost :)

Nice job on the microwave. We had to swap ours out a while back. It was a very unpleasant job.

Hey, that’s cheating! It’s not supposed to be that easy!

I’ve been thinking about swapping one out, but now you have me thinking I may just leave it.

Unfortunately it’s at least 20 years old and was underpowered to begin with, so it may leave me with no choice.

Maybe it was just mm y experience. I had trouble finding the studs. It was as heavy as heck, and hung above a glass topped stove, so I couldn't dare drop it.

Do you make house calls? I need a new rear screen door on the back and a new screen/front door.

Guess I’ll pull out the oven if I do it. Good input.

Pull the oven out for sure, and have someone to help you lift it in. Take careful measurements for where you drill the holes in the overhead cabinet for that hardware. It's really not that bad.

Sure, but you're not going to like my price to come all the way to Texas ;)

Mrs. CG-GUY and I are very, very happy. Who caught/found most of the scres that were dropped?
